About Me
For over twenty years I’ve worked alongside children, young people, and adults, supporting them through the moments when life becomes heavy or confusing. My path into counselling wasn’t just a professional choice; it was shaped by my own experiences of trauma, workplace anxiety, overwhelm, grief, and periods of low mood. Those times helped me understand, on a very human level, how much it matters to have someone beside you who listens with care and without judgement.
That understanding led me to retrain in 2019 and complete an Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling, bringing together both my experience and my belief in the importance of compassionate support.
My approach is rooted in person-centred therapy, which means our work together focuses on your world - your feelings, your pace, and what you feel you need from therapy. I place real importance on building a relationship based on trust, warmth, and respect, so you can talk openly and feel understood rather than evaluated.
My aim is to offer a calm, grounded environment where you can explore whatever’s going on for you, whether it’s long-standing difficulties or something more recent. When you feel safe enough to be honest with yourself, change becomes possible.
